Wrestling veteran believes AEW should have turned Britt Baker's rumored backstage fight into a storyline - "Tony doesn't know how to do this"
Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno recently stated that AEW should use Britt Baker and MJF's backstage fight in their storylines and slammed the CEO Tony Khan for not doing it. MJF is currently involved in a heated rivalry with Adam Cole.
A couple of months ago, some reports broke out about Britt Baker and MJF seemingly arguing backstage. The issue was created due to MJF and Will Ospreay's 1-hour long match for the International Championship at AEW Dynamite's 250th episode. However, the controversy was seemingly handled within the promotion.
On the recent edition of the Keepin' It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno questioned why Britt Baker and MJF's rumored backstage controversy is not being used in his storyline with Adam Cole. The veteran claimed that the promotion fails to capitalize on real-life controversies which is a major setback:
"There have been so many shoot things that have happened in that company that you could tell in the stories. But bro, you could've brought up the MJF and Britt Baker squabble when [Adam] Cole was out and injured and injected that into the storyline. I know Cole and Baker are not a couple anymore but that is something you could've interjected into the story. But bro, Tony [Khan] doesn't know how to do this. They have all these problems that come up and they don't get any mileage out of any of them." [1:40 - 2:23]
AEW star Daniel Garica calls MJF a terrible person
Daniel Garcia is coming off a heated rivalry with MJF. The former ROH Pure Champion was left bloodied by MJF in July which led to his return at AEW All In. The two faced off at All Out and despite losing the match against MJF, Daniel Garcia was the last man standing at the PPV.
In an interview with Renee Paquette on Close Ups, Daniel Garcia called MJF a terrible person and wished him nothing but the worst for the future. He further shared his hatred for The Salt of the Earth:
"I think Max puts everybody through everything mentally. I think dealing with him is the hardest thing ever. I think he's a snake. I think he's a terrible person, and honestly, I wish him nothing but the worst in his entire life. I think he's somebody who, if he drops dead tomorrow, I don't think a single person in this company would care," he said. (08:27 - 08:49)
Daniel Garcia recently renewed his contract with AEW amidst rumored offers from WWE. It will be interesting to see if the company plans on putting titles around the Red Death.
