Wrestling veteran calls out AEW creative for being "lazy hacks," mentions Toni Storm in his outburst
Wrestling veteran Crowbar expressed criticism for AEW and called out the company's creative team on social media. He also mentioned Toni Storm in his rant.
The former Hardcore Champion is popular for his stint in WCW. He made a one-off appearance in the AEW show, AEW Dark: Elevation in October 2021, where he lost to Joey Janela. He is currently wrestling for the Indies.
Deonna Purrazzo recently cut a promo on Rampage, where she was seen sitting at a table behind the screen, sipping wine. She hinted at a new storyline, saying that "The Age of Virtuosa" is coming.
Crowbar didn't like the promo and bashed it on X (formerly Twitter). He didn't blame the talents (Deonna Purrazzo and Toni Storm) but stated that Tony Khan's promotion has a "lazy" creative team, who couldn't pull off a decent promo.
In a following tweet, the veteran wrote:
Matt Hardy comments on Toni Storm and Mariah May's segment on Dynamite
On the recent edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite, Mariah May turned heel and attacked her mentor Toni Storm. Matt Hardy commented on the segment on a recent episode of his podcast.
"I thought it was great. I really did." Hardy said. And I compliment AEW on going there. I love the violence, I love the viciousness because it made it mean so much more in so many ways. She was so violent. She was like a killer whenever she decided to flip the script on Toni Storm. I was all about that. I have Mariah May winning the deal right from the jump and I thought it was very cool that they pulled the trigger there... I thought the way they did the angle was excellent. Kudos to AEW for doing it that way."

On the latest episode of Dynamite, May faced Willow Nightingale in the finals of The Owen Hart Cup Tournament. She defeated her opponent to become the victor. Following her victory, she ambushed the AEW Women's Champion and beat her until her face turned all bloody.
