WWE advised by veteran not to bring back star who wants to become the "Next Paul Heyman"

Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell is against the idea of a former WWE and AEW star, CJ Perry, going back to the Stamford-based promotion anytime soon. The former Lana has once again entered free agency after parting ways with All Elite Wrestling earlier this year.

With Miro no longer her on-screen client, CJ Perry is open to the idea of managing other wrestlers. In fact, she has expressed her desire to become the "Next Paul Heyman."

The 39-year-old star was released from her WWE contract in 2021 but hasn't ruled out the possibility of returning to her old stomping ground under the leadership of Triple H.

Speaking on the Story Time podcast, Dutch Mantell downplayed CJ Perry's managerial skills and urged WWE not to bring her back anytime soon.

"She's [Lana] not even good as a manager. Really. She's a good-looking woman, a good-looking girl and that's it. I don't know what they could do with her. She's not a wrestler. They can get those, but instead of getting one that's already preset in a character, they get one that they can mold. They get one that they could put together that they could construct without the baggage of Lana. I'm sure a lot cheaper." (11:12 - 11:50)

Booker T wants to see CJ Perry AKA Lana back in WWE for one reason

On a recent edition of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said he would like to see the former Lana and Bobby Lashley reunite since Triple H has allegedly refused to bring The Hurt Business back together.

"That might be something to reignite Bobby [Lashley] right back into the fold of things that's going on with [WWE], Hurt Business doesn't seem to be working out the way I'm sure they would have liked it for it to work out but Lana coming back, man, that would be a huge, huge get."

Lashley and Perry were romantically linked (kayfabe) on WWE television as part of a controversial love triangle program involving Rusev in 2019.

Unfortunately, Bobby Lashley is said to be finishing up with the Stamford-based promotion as his contract is nearing expiration. The chances of seeing the former on-screen couple reunite are slim to none.
