WWE Attitude Era veteran offers to help Tony Khan after AEW draws one its worst ratings ever
A former WWE veteran offered his consultancy services to AEW President and CEO Tony Khan after Dynamite recorded one of its lowest ratings. Veteran also took massive shots at Khan in his post.
The WWE Attitude Era veteran in question is Vince Russo. This past Wednesday, AEW Dynamite recorded one of its lowest TV ratings, as it averaged only 672,000 viewers with 0.23 in the key 18-49 demographic. The ratings were down five percent from last week. The downfall in ratings every week has been an issue for the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Meanwhile, former WWE head writer Vince Russo, who was with the company during the Attitude Era when it started in 1997, also took notice of the low Dynamite ratings and addressed Tony Khan on Twitter. Russo reminded Khan of one of his past statements about WCW and Russo.
"I should be GLOATING over the lowest rating in AEW History this week---but, I'm not. Remember this: "WCW had a Hang Nail when Vince Russo joined the Company . . . he Proceeded to Cut the Entire Arm off." Tony Khan Remember that @TonyKhan? I do. I've never forgotten. Not just ANYBODY can be a SUCCESSFUL Head Writer/Producer."
Vince Russo also took a cheeky dig at Khan, while offering his consultancy services as well.
"It actually does take more skill then Booking Fantasy Wrestling at 12 years-old. You need help. It's not even a question. My Consulting Services are always available. @USANetwork took advantage of them in the past . . . you can too. Smart Men are Humble Men."
WWE veteran said Tony Khan is lost and needs help
Speaking Exclusively on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws podcast former WWE veteran writer, Vince Russo claimed that Tony Khan has lost his way, citing recent AEW shows, and said he needs an advisor.
"In my opinion bro, he's lost right now, and now more than ever he needs an advisor, he needs somebody to just come in and like, 'Tony bro, literally take a seat in the corner, Watch, and learn bro. You have any questions? feel free to ask me.'"
Moreover, Vince Russo continues to offer his advice to the AEW President.
