WWE executive sparks speculation about major AEW star 3 years post company exit
WWE executive Adam Pearce has sparked speculation about a major AEW star three years after he left the company. This could be huge if a return materializes.
Pearce is the General Manager of Monday Night RAW and is one of the busiest executives in the company. He often does things that are sometimes out of the blue and take the fans by surprise.
He did that when he took to Twitter to post a picture of himself and Bryan Danielson during the latter's time in the company. Danielson had to retire from full-time wrestling after he lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024.
Since then, there have been rumors about what he will do next. While a return seems farfetched, seeing Adam Pearce randomly post such a photo will surely set the pulses racing and put the rumor mill into overdrive.
Bryan Danielson gives his take on a return to WWE
Bryan Danielson left WWE on good terms in 2021, which is always a good thing, given how complicated the wrestling world can be.
While he has retired from full-time wrestling and will most likely be a part-timer in AEW, he was asked whether he would consider a return to his former workplace. In an interview with the Gorilla Position, he said:
"I mean, I would never say never, but if I would, it would have to be in a case where I felt like going there was better for the industry. So for example, imagine in ten years, all of a sudden something happened to their creative process and they are just horrible, and AEW has completely taken over and it's become a one-sided business on the other side - yeah, then maybe I would consider it,"Danielson noted.
It will undoubtedly be very interesting to see Danielson in WWE once again, given his relationship with the fans.
