WWE Hall of Famer recalls Tony Khan wanting his son to debut in AEW: "What, am I gonna say 'No' to the guy?"

The legendary "Four Horsemen" member Arn Anderson was signed to AEW from 2019 to 2024. In the Tony Khan-led promotion, he was a part of "Nightmare Family". Apart from him, it consisted of the current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Q. T. Marshall, Billy Gunn, and more.

The WWE Hall of Famer's son, Brock Anderson is a professional wrestler as well. Not only was the 27-year-old signed to the Jacksonville-based promotion, but was also a member of the aforementioned faction. Unfortunately, his time in AEW was underwhelming. In a recent conversation with Foundation Radio, his father opened up about his son's All Elite Wrestling run. Even though he was thankful to AEW founder Tony Khan for giving his son an opportunity so big, he believes that Brock needed more development time before making his TV debut.

Interestingly, he recalled the day Khan revealed his plans to him.

"I go in [to Khan's office] and he goes, 'We want to debut Brock tonight'. What do you say? 'No?' Are you kidding me? We already owe him for providing an alternative in the pro wrestling industry. What, am I gonna say 'No' to the guy?" said Arn Anderson. (H/T Wrestling Inc.)

Former AEW personality Arn Anderson on never winning a heavyweight championship

Even though Arn Anderson never held a heavyweight championship in his career, he is happy with how things turned out to be. He stated that he earned his respect because of his work, dedication, and consistency. Furthermore, he is glad that fans paid attention to him every time he spoke into a microphone.

"I earned my respect by being that guy, and I didn’t even have to win the match. That’s what I hear a lot from different fans that were there in the area. They said, ‘Man, two things. When you picked up a mic, we listened, and we believed what you said,'" he said. (H/T Wrestling Headline)
