WWE Hall of Famer responds to major rumor about Taylor Swift
A former WWE veteran recently spoke about a long-standing rumor about Taylor Swift. The star being discussed is Jeff Jarrett. He has worked in various promotions like WWE, WCW, NJPW, and TNA in a career spanning decades.
The Hall of Famer joined AEW in 2022 and is the Director of Business Development. He has joined forces with Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, and Sonjay Dutt since signing with the Jacksonville-based promotion. He suffered a heartbreaking loss in the first round of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament against the returning "Hangman" Adam Page on a recent episode of Dynamite.
Taylor Swift is a world-renowned singer, who has been a fan favorite for almost two decades now. There is an old rumor that she used to babysit the Double J's kids a long time ago.
In an interview with WREG News Channel, when Jeff Jarrett was asked about the tittle-tattle, he confirmed that Taylor Swift indeed helped the Jarrett family by taking care of the kids after his wife passed away. However, he also revealed the singer wasn't on his payroll and hence, she wasn't their babysitter technically.
"She's a friend of the family. Very good to my family during a very, very dark period for my family. My wife gets sick and she passed away. But Taylor was like a big sister and came over and took the girls, baking cookies and just kind of hung out at the house. I can't say enough good things about Taylor. I don't know if you know this, she has done pretty well for herself (...) I can tell you this right now, she was never on the Jeff Jarrett payroll. So, technically not a babysitter," Jeff said. Jeff Jarrett reveals he and Taylor Swift went to the same high school
Double J has known Taylor for a long time, and the singer even helped his family after the former's wife died. The star has three daughters from his marriage with his late wife.
While speaking in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, Jeff Jarrett claimed he and the Enchanted singer even went to the same high school. He also spoke on the time the singer used to spend at his place, taking care of his daughters during a very difficult time for him, both personally and professionally.
"Taylor went to the same high school, you know, just the same school system. I lived on Oker Lake. That time, she lived on Oker Lake, literally a mile from my house," he said.
It will be interesting to see what is next for the Hall of Famer after his defeat against "Hangman" Adam Page.
