WWE Hall of Famer reveals how he was busted open after "physical confrontation" with Bryan Danielson
A WWE Hall of Famer has disclosed that he got busted open during his encounter with Bryan Danielson last week. The legend also explained how it was a special night for him.
The WWE Hall of Famer in question is Jeff Jarrett. He squared off against Bryan Danielson last week on AEW Dynamite in a No Disqualifications Match in the main event. Ricky Steamboat was also present as a special guest for the contest. The bout was filled with many spectacular spots, and it ended with Danielson capturing the win.
Jeff Jarrett disclosed that he was busted open during the finish where The American Dragon hit him with a knee to the face. On his My World podcast, Double J said the following about the sequence:
"That was quite the physical confrontation. If you saw that finish when The American Dragon did his high knee with a steel folded metal chair, I took one on the chin. As he hit me, it wasn’t the initial impact, but as the chair fell to the floor, my chin caught it on the mat, but all good."
Jarrett further added how the moment with Steamboat was special:
"Five stitches. It comes with the territory. It is what it is. Steamboat raising both of our hands is a very, very cool moment for this old kid from Nashville, TN. It was a special evening in so many ways. It was definitely a special night.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
