WWE has interest in signing 6ft star upon AEW contract expiry (Exclusive)
Another source has just confirmed the widespread belief that WWE has great interest in a popular AEW star. It was reported that the Triple H-led promotion was observing his contract situation closely. This would be Ricky Starks.
Starks has not been seen in any capacity on AEW TV since March, and his lack of utilization has prompted several major questions regarding his status. His former tag team partner Big Bill has already ventured into new things, including being a part of Chris Jericho's new faction, while Ricky himself remains sidelined.
During an Exclusive Live Q&A with Joe Lowry, WrestleVotes was asked regarding AEW stars who WWE has had their eye on. He brought up Ricky Starks, seeing as it was common knowledge already, but reiterated that he was still under contract with AEW.

Ricky Starks has been shelved by AEW without a reason
There have been a lot of questions surrounding Ricky Starks and why he has not been seen on TV for a while now. Before his hiatus, he was on a great run, feuding with the likes of CM Punk, and Bryan Danielson, and even having a brief run as one-half of the tag team champions.
According to a report by Dr. Chris Featherstone, Starks is reportedly unhappy with his current booking, as he has not been utilized despite being fully healthy. He further mentioned how The Absolute One has been sidelined, and the promotion has not given him a reason for why things ended up this way.
It remains to be seen whether there will be any changes to his status in the coming months, or whether the company will just wait for his contract to expire. Another possible outcome is him potentially asking for a release if no resolution to this issue occurs.
