WWE legend gives his take on whether Jon Moxley should have defeated 25-year-veteran
WWE legend Matt Hardy has given his take on whether Jon Moxley should have defeated a 25-year-veteran at a big PPV recently. His opinion will interest a lot of fans.
The star in question is none other than Bryan Danielson. The two former WWE stars went to war at WrestleDream where Moxley won the match and thereby forced Danielson to retire from his full-time wrestling career.
Matt Hardy, who often gives his opinion on wrestling matters, both current and past, spoke out and said that Jon Moxley was indeed the right choice to retire Danielson. Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, he said:
“I don’t know, I think Jon Moxley is probably the most secure choice, especially for the one to end Bryan Danielson’s career and to carry the title right now. As far as that invasion story, I don’t know, it’s tricky. It becomes tricky and sometimes, it can be confusing in some ways. If these guys are outsiders, why do they keep allowing them in? I don’t know, it all depends on their execution and how they follow through with this and it’s gonna depend if they have some sort of creative way to navigate this story to get into some sort of scenario where you can get a finish that’s going to be a good payoff for everyone watching." Bill Apter says Jon Moxley should be dethroned by Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley made his highly anticipated debut at Dynamite: Fright Night a few weeks back and has gone on to align himself with MVP and The Hurt Syndicate since.
He has not spoken much but it is only a matter of time before he goes after the top title in the Jacksonville-based company. Bill Apter was speaking on Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Time Machine when he said that Lashley should be the one to dethrone Jon Moxley.
"To me, Bobby Lashley should be the world champion. They need to keep him on top but because of the way AEW has played the WWE guys, it's similar to what the WWE guys used to play the WCW guys when they came in here. Like, there were no major talents," he said.
It will be interesting to see what will happen next with Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate, especially if they run into Moxley and his mates.
