WWE legend pays tribute after Roman Reigns' father Sika Anoa'i passes away
A legend has just paid his condolences following the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoa’i, the father of Roman Reigns, earlier today. This would be Matt Hardy.
Sika was one-half of the legendary tag team The Wild Samoans, along with his brother Afa. They were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. Back in 2020, they appeared in WWE as a show of support for the Tribal Chief after he defended his title against Jey Uso at Hell in a Cell. His sudden passing was announced earlier today.
On X, Matt Hardy expressed his condolences after finding out about Sika Anoa’i's passing earlier today. He talked about meeting him in the past and his friendly interactions with the veteran.
"Saddened to learn about Sika Anoa’i passing today. The few times I met him, he was very kind & friendly. My condolences go out to his family, friends & fans," Hardy tweeted.
Natalya also sent her condolences to the WWE Hall of Famer
One of those who paid tribute to the late veteran was Natalya. She also took to X to express her condolences to Roman Reigns and his family following his father's passing.
Natalya talked about how her family has always spoken highly of the Wild Samoans. The former Women's Champion also mentioned how her grandfather had a chance to wrestle against them in the past.
"Sending so much love today to @WWERomanReigns and the entire Anoa'i family. My dad always spoke so highly of Sika and Afa and my grandfather had so much respect for The Wild Samoans when they wrestled in Stampede Wrestling. Sika was a legend and a pioneer in our industry in so many ways."
The legacy of Sika Anoa'i will continue to go on, with several members of the Samoan family's next generation already making their impact in the wrestling world.
We at Sportskeeda pay our condolences to Roman Reigns and the Anoa'i family.
