WWE Legend sends important advice to MJF amidst prolonged AEW absence (Exclusive)

A WWE legend recently sent an important message to AEW star MJF., who has been absent from TV since December. The legend in question is none other than Arn Anderson.

MJF did an exceptional job as the AEW World Champion from 2022 to 2023. Friedman turned babyface during his run as champion and also tweaked his moveset, which earned him a lot of praise from many veterans and fans. He lost the AEW World Title against Samoa Joe at the Worlds End PPV in December 2023 and has been absent from TV since.

Speaking in an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, the WWE Hall of Famer praised MJF for the high-risk maneuvers he does in AEW but also explained the downside of performing such moves.

"I think MJF is unlimited in what he can achieve in this business. You gotta take less chances in this business than a lot of these guys take and I've seen him do things. Were they spectacular? Yes. Were they athletic? Yes. Were they incredible? Yes. But did they particularly need it? and I'm using him as an example but it's kind of a cross board. You just don't beat your body up, you only got one to the point that before you know it, you've had a brilliant five-year career. " [From 06:24 to 07:07]

MJF cannot save AEW, according to WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has made it clear that he does not enjoy the All Elite Wrestling product. The veteran often takes major jabs at the company's talent and CEO Tony Khan for his questionable booking.

Speaking on the Wise Choices podcast, the former RAW General Manager bashed Tony Khan's creative direction for All Elite Wrestling and claimed that MJF's return will not have any impact on the product.

"I don't think MJF is going to take AEW to a whole new level because it's not a talent-driven issue, it's a creative-driven issue," Bischoff said. "I think you could drop The Undertaker into the center of the ring from a helicopter, have him repelled down like Sting did, put him in the center of the ring, and start a program with him in AEW and if Tony Khan is booking it, it's just not going to matter. It's not a talent-driven issue, it's bigger than that." [H/T: WrestlingInc.]

It is still unknown whether MJF has renewed his contract with All Elite Wrestling. Friedman's contract was set to expire on January 1st, 2024. It will be interesting to see if MJF returns to TV in 2024.
