WWE legend suffers upset loss at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III
A WWE veteran shockingly suffered a loss at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III. The star being discussed is Chris Jericho.
The Learning Tree has seemingly pestered the fans and locker room with his annoying gimmick for many weeks. At Dynasty, Jericho defeated HOOK for the FTW Championship, which left the fans furious. He then created his faction, 'Jericho Vortex,' which currently consists of Big Bill and Bryan Keith.
Meanwhile, the former FTW Champion aligned forces with Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata. The trio then challenged Jericho, Big Bill, and Jeff Cobb to a match at Forbidden Door III pay-per-view. Bryan Keith wasn't involved in the match as he recently injured his hand.
The match was highly entertaining as the chemistry between these stars immediately clicked in the trios match. Shockingly, HOOK pinned Chris Jericho and won the match with his own move, The Judas Effect.
This is the second time HOOK has pinned the former AEW World Champion. In March, the 25-year-old star defended his FTW Championship on an edition of Dynamite.
It will be interesting to see how the Learning Tree reacts to his loss at Forbidden Door III. Also, it remains to be seen if The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil challenges Jericho for the FTW title.
