WWE Legend takes massive shots at Chris Jericho & AEW after NXT scores big win

This week's WWE NXT was not an ordinary wrestling show. It paid tribute to ECW, a now-defunct wrestling promotion that was way ahead of its time. Not only did it feature unconventional matches, but several names from the former Philadelphia-based company also showed up.

One of the wrestlers who appeared on NXT was former WWE star Bully Ray. He and D-Von Dudley won the ECW World Tag Team Championship a staggering eight times, which makes him a bona fide legend. Interestingly, NXT and Dynamite both aired on Wednesday this week. Furthermore, WWE's developmental brand beat Tony Khan's promotion on the viewership scale of the 18 to 49 demographic.

A few hours ago, Ray shared an image of himself on X (fka Twitter) with D-Von Dudley and Trick Williams. In its caption, the WWE legend took a shot at AEW and Chris Jericho, the reigning ROH World Champion. This is because Jericho reportedly believes that the 18-49 demo is more important than overall viewership when it comes to professional wrestling.

"Demo Gods." read Bully Ray's caption.

WWE legend Bully Ray believes that Jade Cargill was mentally more comfortable in AEW

Bully Ray is a regular on the popular Busted Open podcast, where he speaks about wrestling current affairs and what he thinks of wrestlers and the industry in general. In a recent episode, he spoke about the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Jade Cargill. He believed that the 32-year-old was mentally more comfortable in her former promotion.

"I thought about this the other night. Here's my take on Jade: I think Jade was mentally more comfortable in AEW. There's, I think, a lot more pressure on her in WWE – the pressure of, she came over, she came over with what is it called, high expectations. Yes, she's doing well. She's got everything you need to have to become a megastar there, but when she moves, yes, I see her thinking," said Ray.
