WWE SmackDown destroys AEW Collision in head-to-head battle

WWE SmackDown won the head-to-head ratings contest with AEW Collision last week by a huge margin. AEW Collision and Rampage went head-to-head with WWE SmackDown last week.

The blue brand hosted its last show on FOX and will move to the USA Network this Friday. Also, Collision was shifted to Friday as AEW had All Out on Saturday. The show drew good numbers for a few weeks while Rampage struggled.

To go up against Triple H, Tony Khan had booked an eight-man tag team bout with almost every AEW champion involved. Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC defeated The Elite. Also, the rest of the card was filled with exciting matchups.

Meanwhile, WWE SmackDown had a decent card as it was the season finale. Cody Rhodes confronted Solo Sikoa, and the duo would fight in a Steel Cage match next week. Also, The Bloodline defeated DIY and Street Profits in the dynamic main event.

After going head-to-head last week, SmackDown drew 1,770,000 viewers and was rated 0.45 among the 18-49 demographics. Rampage garnered an average viewership of 233,000 and was rated 0.08.

Shockingly, AEW Collision drew only 157,000 viewers and was rated 0.04. This is the lowest audience Collision has drawn in its history.

It will be interesting to see if Collision's ratings bounce back higher and how SmackDown performs in its season premiere episode.
