WWE SmackDown Superstar reacts to Jack Perry’s AEW TNT Championship win

A WWE Smackdown Superstar has shared his reaction to Jack Perry's AEW TNT Championship victory at Forbidden Door 2024. The talent in question is Andrade.

The Scapegoat competed in a brutal six-way ladder match for the vacant TNT Title in the UBS Arena. Despite the efforts of the other participants in the bout - including Dante Martin, El Phantasmo, Lio Rush, Konosuke Takeshita, and ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe - Perry succeeded at climbing the ladder and retrieving the championship for the win. The victory earned the former Jungle Boy his second singles title in AEW, as he previously held the FTW Championship briefly.

On Instagram, Jack Perry shared photographs of himself and his title win at the pay-per-view. The post garnered a response from a former AEW star, who departed from the Tony Khan-led company last year.

Andrade, who is currently signed to WWE and competes on Smackdown, reacted to Jack Perry's pictures on Instagram, posting a set of oncoming fist emojis in the comments, hinting at a fist bump to congratulate him.

The former NXT Champion made his AEW debut in 2021. Despite his unrivaled in-ring abilities, Andrade was not consistently booked as a top star in the Jacksonville-based promotion. His last appearance for the company saw the Mexican star lose to Miro in a singles match at Worlds End 2023 after being betrayed by his manager, CJ Perry. Andrade made his return to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble.

Jack Perry broke his silence after title win at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Jack Perry's career has enjoyed a resurgence ever since he returned to All Elite Wrestling at Dynasty 2024. The former FTW Champion has undeniably impacted AEW programming in recent months, having joined forces with The Elite.

Perry won the TNT Championship at Forbidden Door 2024 after a remarkable ladder match. After the show, the 27-year-old star reflected on his accomplishments since returning to All Elite Wrestling.

"I've been back here two months, and in that time, I joined The Elite, I hit Tony Khan, I got rid of Kenny Omega, I pinned Bryan Danielson, and now I'm the TNT Champion [raises belt]. Get a good shot of that right there. You know what that says? That says that I'm the future, that says that I'm the face of this network, even though, like, half the guys in these locker rooms, they probably don’t even want me here. Well, guess what? [spits on & raises belt] I ain't going anywhere," Jack Perry said.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Jack Perry and his first TNT Championship reign in All Elite Wrestling.
