WWE veteran believes The Hurt Syndicate would thrive with 33-year-old's addition
WWE veteran Bully Ray believes that The Hurt Syndicate would thrive with the addition of a 33-year-old AEW star. This has the potential to push the faction into the main event scene.
The star in question is none other than Powerhouse Hobbs. MVP and Shelton Benjamin were part of The Hurt Business in WWE, alongside Bobby Lashley and Cedric Alexander.
Since debuting in AEW, MVP has been on a quest to form his faction and is going about recruiting stars. He was seemingly joined by Shelton Benjamin last week, and with the reports of Bobby Lashley signing with All Elite Wrestling, they can reform the faction as The Hurt Syndicate.
MVP has tried to recruit Swerve Strickland into his potential faction since his debut. While speaking on The Busted Open After Dark, Bully Ray said he would love to see Powerhouse Hobbs joining the faction as it would be like a breath of fresh air.
"Will [Powerhouse] Hobbs, I'd love to see that. Hobbs could definitely use a breath of fresh air."
He also said that Shane Taylor would be a great addition to The Hurt Business.
"Shane Taylor. I would love to see Shane Taylor be a part of The Hurt Business. Shane Taylor is credible, Shane Taylor can go, Shane Taylor can cut a promo, Shane Taylor knows where it's at, Shane Taylor would be an amazing addition," he said. [H/T Wrestling Inc]
Swerve Strickland responds to former WWE star MVP’s question
Former WWE star MVP has been trying to recruit Swerve Strickland to his new faction. He has been doing that since his first day in the company.
He recently asked Swerve Strickland if he believed him to be a liar. To his credit, the former AEW World Champion reacted in a very cryptic way. He ended the statement by saying he would talk to the former WWE star later.
“You don't want me to answer that on here.... TTYL,” Strickland wrote.
Given MVP's offer to manage Swerve Strickland, it will be interesting to see what the company has in store for him.
