'You'll be buried in your backyard' - Jon Moxley threatens former WWE Champion
Jon Moxley sent an ominous message to a former WWE Champion on the five-year anniversary episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite. The latter is none other than Bryan Danielson.
The October 2, 2024, edition of Dynamite aired from Pittsburgh, PA and presented, towards the opening, a taped segment featuring the seemingly re-formed Blackpool Combat Club. Two-thirds of the AEW World Trios Champions, PAC and Claudio Castagnoli, addressed their conflicted tag partner Wheeler Yuta. The Man That Gravity Forgot acknowledged the 27-year-old star's intensity and asked him to join their group properly. The Swiss Cyborg echoed PAC's words, insisting that both he and Jon Moxley were still the same people, and that they had major plans for the promising up-and-comer. Marina Shafir also spoke at the camera, possibly in Romanian.
Finally, Moxley addressed his WrestleDream 2024 opponent and former BCC ally, Bryan Danielson, informing him that though he had wished The American Dragon had not won the AEW World Title, he would be pursuing the belt regardless, which he declared he will win one way or another. After threatening more casualties in their ongoing war against AEW, The Purveyor of Violence promised to retire the former multi-time WWE champion at the upcoming pay-per-view in the latter's home-state of Washington.
"I give you the opportunity to go out on your shield. To die a warrior's death, on your home soil. You'll be buried in your backyard, peacefully, beautifully. Fate's not gonna put a better offer on the table than that, man. On October 12, I officially relieve you of duty. I'm sending daddy home, for good."
It remains to be seen whether Jon Moxley will succeed at ending Bryan Danielson's full-time wrestling career at WrestleDream 2024.
