“You’re free to leave” - Jon Moxley gives current AEW champion an ultimatum
Jon Moxley issued an ultimatum to a current AEW champion in a video segment on this week's Dynamite. The talent in question is Wheeler Yuta.
Members of the re-formed Blackpool Combat Club were featured on the latest episode of Dynamite. AEW World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli and PAC called out their partner and title co-holder Wheeler Yuta, revealing that the latter had not spoken to them since All Out 2024 and their vicious attack on Bryan Danielson.
The Man That Gravity Forgot informed Yuta that they have to defend their trios belts next week at Grand Slam 2024 and demanded that the 27-year-old star rejoin him and Castagnoli for the bout.
"Yuta, where you been man? We're the Trios Champions, and we haven't heard from you since the pay-per-view. It's very simple. Next week, we have a championship defense, so it's time to come to work. You understand me?" Pac said.
The Swiss Cyborg then stated that he was disappointed with, rather than upset at, the former ROH Pure Champion before following PAC in requesting Yuta to team with them next week.
Jon Moxley then addressed the Pennsylvania native, claiming that the latter could leave (presumably their group) if he wanted to, albeit alluding to Yuta's responsibility to the faction and their ambiguous goals.
"I know it's a lot to handle, Wheeler, but I believe you have the strength inside you to do the right thing. It's your choice. You're free to leave, you're not trapped. You do whatever you want, it's your choice. But you have a personal responsibility to the greater good," Moxley said.
It remains to be seen if Wheeler Yuta will reunite with The BCC at AEW Grand Slam 2024.
