"You're trying to get me slapped?" - Mercedes Mone asked to choose between WWE Superstars Bayley and Naomi

Mercedes Mone has proven to be a top star since signing with AEW earlier this year, but the former Sasha Banks still has plenty of friends back in WWE. Her closest two comrades are Bayley and Naomi, both of whom have a long history with The CEO.

Bayley and Mercedes Mone go way back. The two created a legendary rivalry in NXT and went on to team together and compete against each other on the main roster. Naomi was Mone's tag team partner when the two infamously walked out of WWE in May 2022.

Both women have shown up to support their friend in her endeavors outside WWE and even donned disguises to attend AEW Dynamite: Big Business this past March, when Mercedes made her debut in All Elite Wrestling.

In an appearance for Z100 New York ahead of tonight's Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Mercedes Mone was asked which of her two friends was the better tag team partner. The TBS Champion responded with indignation, claiming that she couldn't choose between her girls:

"Oh, you're trying to get me slapped? Trying to get me hurt," she joked. "I've won tag team titles with both of them, damn! Would I walk with Bayley? Hell yeah, I would! I'm down for both. Both of them are my girls. I can't choose. I can't choose!" [H/T: Fightful]

Mercedes Mone will face her biggest test yet in AEW at Forbidden Door 2024

With just hours to go before a massive AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Mercedes Mone is preparing for a major challenge. The 32-year-old will meet Stephanie Vaquer in a title vs. title match, with The CEO's TBS Championship up against Vaquer's NJPW Strong Women's Championship.

Mone has already attempted to get in her opponent's head, showing up last week at a CMLL show to antagonize the 31-year-old star. A short brawl ensued, and the former Sasha Banks made sure everyone knew her intentions ahead of Forbidden Door.

It's unknown whether Bayley and Naomi will be present in the audience at Forbidden Door tonight. The two have often been present to support their friend outside WWE, but it's a difficult feat to pull off, considering the rivalry between AEW and the Stamford-based promotion.
