Ricochet must not debut in AEW alone
Ricochet reportedly left WWE in what was an unexpected outcome given that he was such a big star in the company. A lot of fans were dumbfounded when reports started circulating about how he would not be extending his contract.
He was taken out of programming by Bron Breakker. Since then, the star has barely been mentioned on RAW or other WWE programming. He even lost his Speed Championship and has since been missing from the promotion. As per the latest reports, it is only a matter of time before joins AEW.
However, he must not make his AEW debut alone and should be joined by a very prominent tag team.
Motor City Machine Guns might join Ricochet
The Motor City Machine Guns is a big name in TNA and also a fixture in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. It was reported a while back that WWE was in talks with them.
However, Tony Khan could jump ahead of the queue and offer them a role in his company. He could incentivize the move for them by having them team up with the former WWE star in what would be a great faction.
Show up as a heel
Ricochet was never a heel in WWE and was always a babyface. Despite his relative success, the star arguably did not get the popularity the promotion would have liked. The star was a big name in the midcard and won the Intercontinental Title and United States Title.
Having him show up in AEW as a heel would be a new lease of life for him and a necessary character change. One that will help him discover a side of his persona that he has never really tapped into.
The tease on AEW Collision could have an ulterior motive
AEW Collison saw the teasing of the arrival of a big superstar. In that video, a man was seen jumping into what looked like a portal and immediately after that, someone with a mask quickly flashed on the screen.
A lot of fans pointed out that it could be Ricochet as Prince Puma as that was his character during his stint in Lucha Underground and on the independent scene.
Tony Khan could have him come into the company with a different character and also have the Motor City Machine Guns assist him. The new character combined with a stable could make for some great television and Ricochet will immediately be propelled to the heights that many argue he deserves to be at.
