2-time WWE United States Champion expected to make blockbuster return soon [Reports]

A former WWE United States Champion is reportedly expected to make his return sooner rather than later as per the latest reports. The star has not been on AEW TV for the past few months.

The two-time WWE United States Champion in question is Samoa Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine has not been on TV for nearly four months now as he has been busy with his other projects. Joe last wrestled on an episode of Dynamite in July where he was defeated by Chris Jericho in a Street Fight. However, there is an update on the return of the former AEW World Champion.

Joe has been working in the entertainment industry for quite some time now and was busy filming for his next project. Nevertheless, on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Joe is expected to return soon as filming has been completed.

“He should be back soon because the movie he was filming just finished this week. So, whenever they need him back. I mean, he’s eligible to be back,” Dave reported.

An AEW star wants to wrestle the former WWE star

Brody King recently expressed his desire to wrestle former WWE star Samoa Joe. During a recent interview with WrestleSphere, Brody stated that facing Joe was something he wanted since joining the company.

"I would love to wrestle Samoa Joe. That’s always the day-one person in AEW [I’ve wanted to wrestle]. He was someone I watched early on in my training career and ever since he’s just been one of my top favorite wrestlers."

Henceforth, only time will tell when Joe will make his return and whether he will get in the ring with Brody King.
