An absent AEW star was medically cleared to wrestle after being absent for a significant amount of period, as per the latest reports. The star being discussed is Josh Woods.
The 34-year-old star has been performing for AEW since 2021. He made his debut in the promotion against Shawn Spears on AEW Dark in December 2021 and made his televised debut by teaming up with Tony Nese against Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee in August 2022.
Josh Woods had joined forces with Tony Nese and Ari Daivari known as Premier Athletes. The trio was dominating Tony Khan's other promotion ROH. He, Tony, and Daivari defeated Adam Priest, Rhett Titus, and Tony Deppen in April but Woods hasn't wrestled since. Meanwhile, the other two stars of his faction are feuding with Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and HOOK in the company.
Woods has been sidelined since April. As of now, the nature of the injury has not been revealed. According to Fightful, the former ROH Pure Champion was medically cleared to wrestle recently.
Josh Woods was recently in action on the latest Collision taping when he teamed up with Tony Nese and Ari Daivari against Samoa Joe and company. It will be interesting to see what is next for the ROH star.
