AEW Full Gear feud derails; backstage reaction to creative issues - Reports
AEW Full Gear is right around the corner, and there is one match that has caught the attention of almost the entire wrestling world. The funny thing is that it does not even involve a full-time wrestler.
The match being discussed is between Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall. The social media star will be taking on the Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination on the pre-show, and there has been a lot of fanfare around the match. Details have now emerged about how the original plans were nixed and the reaction backstage.
Fightful Select has reported that the initial plan was not to have this angle featured on TV. QT Marshall even pushed Tony Khan for the angle to pan out on Dynamite. However, Tony was reluctant to do that, fearing that it might upset the locker room.
However, given the momentum it has gathered, the company has decided to have a segment on Wednesday’s Dynamite. The report also adds that Big Boom and his family have been very respectful throughout the whole process.
QT Marshall claims Big Boom wants to back out of AEW Full Gear
AEW star QT Marshall has taken a shot at his opponent at Full Gear Big Boom AJ and has implied that he might be backing out of the fight.
It was announced on Collision that Big Boom AJ would appear on Dynamite, but it is not yet known what he will talk about. QT Marshall has now suggested that his opponent will appear on Dynamite to let Tony Khan know that he will be backing out of the fight.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
"I assume AJ wants to let @TonyKhan know that he’s backing out of #AEWFullGear #ZeroHour in person! 💥 or ☠️."
It will be interesting to see what exactly Big Boom AJ will say on Dynamite and whether or not Marshall’s prediction might come true.
