AEW star noticeably absent from live television as WWE interest peaks - Reports

WWE reportedly has a huge influence on an AEW star’s noticeable absence from television. The star in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.

Garcia is touted as one of AEW’s up-and-coming wrestlers, but there have been some doubts as to whether he will stay with the company. He had been away from television for a long time but then returned to have a program with MJF. His last match saw Daniel losing to Maxwell at All Out 2024.

Fightful Select has reported that Daniel Garcia was nowhere to be seen backstage at "recent AEW events," despite the company having big shows like Grand Slam in New York and Dynamite’s fifth anniversary this week. Interestingly, the report confirmed that if the star chose to return, several pitches were ready for him.

According to other reports, Triple H and the Stamford-based promotion are eager to sign Garcia. They have scouted him extensively over the past year or so.

Jim Cornette advised Daniel Garcia to snub WWE for AEW

Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette has spoken out about the possibility of Daniel Garcia joining WWE and said he would be better off taking Tony Khan’s deal.

Cornette is known to say things as they are and did just that on a recent episode of his The Experience Podcast. He said:

"From what I've seen of Mr. Garcia, if I was Mr. Garcia I'd take Tony's money. Now if Garcia in five years is a big star and I am not talking about if Tony is still around, I am talking about as a big star in this business probably in WWE to be a big star in this business then I will... you can play me the tape of those words and I'll cut up the tape and eat it on the air."

It will be interesting to see what happens with Daniel Garcia in the future. Whether or not he moves away or decides to stay with AEW is not yet known.
