Another former WWE World Heavyweight Champion gone from AEW - Reports

Another former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has seemingly departed from AEW. The talent in question is none other than Jake Hager.

The All-American American broke out during his 11-year tenure in WWE. His impressive athletic abilities and credentials earned the former Jack Swagger multiple singles titles in the promotion, including the US Championship, the ECW Championship, and the World Heavyweight Championship. Two years after his WWE exit, Hager joined forces with Chris Jericho in AEW.

The Oklahoma native has been with All Elite Wrestling since 2019 and has competed against several major names and in numerous significant matches in the company, including multiple Blood and Guts matches and the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing 2022. He has been missing from action since his losing effort against Roderick Strong on the February 23, 2024 episode of Rampage. A new update has emerged regarding Hager and his status in AEW on social media.

Bodyslam.net released a report today claiming that Hager's All Elite Wrestling contract has expired and that the 42-year-old star has not re-signed with the Tony Khan-led promotion.

The report noted that the decision for Hager to depart the company was mutual. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Jake Hager and whether he will continue his wrestling career elsewhere.
