Big update on Jeff Hardy’s next destination after AEW contract expiry - Reports
A massive report has emerged about the next step of Jeff Hardy's rumored AEW exit. The Charismatic Enigma initially received an enormous push in the Jacksonville-based promotion. He signed with the company in 2022 and was a huge part of the tag team division. However, the star got lost in the company's roster.
The 46-year-old star wrestled last in AEW in February 2024. In the bout, he injured his nose against Sammy Guevara. However, despite being medically cleared months later, Jeff has been sitting on the shelf. His brother Matt Hardy's contract expired in April, and he is currently performing at TNA Wrestling.
A few weeks ago, Matt revealed on his podcast that Jeff's contract was expiring very soon. A recent report suggested that the former WWE Superstar will become a free agent soon.
According to PWInsider, Jeff Hardy could return to TNA anytime this weekend. On Saturday, the promotion will air the Against All Odds event, where his brother is challenging Moose for the world championship.
Matt Hardy recently claimed Jeff Hardy's contract will expire in June
Jeff Hardy reportedly hasn't decided to renew his contract with AEW and will be a free agent soon after being sidelined for over four months.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, he revealed Jeff Hardy's contract is set to expire in mid-June.
“He’s been clear, he’s just sitting at home waiting on the call. Unlike me, he’s not someone who really gets out and makes things happen he just kind of waits on someone to call him. He sitting at home, just waiting on that phone call, jumping on the trampoline up and down with the dumb bells. But yeah, he’s got till like mid-June or so I think and then his deal is up. So I guess we’ll see if he ends up re-signing or not re-signing. Who knows?” he said.
It will be interesting to see if the Hardy Boys reunite in TNA Wrestling.
