Big update on The Hardy Boyz after Jeff Hardy's alleged unhappiness with their AEW booking - Reports

An update has been revealed regarding the Hardy Boyz after a social media post shared by Jeff Hardy implied unhappiness on the part of the former Team Xtreme on the subject of their recent AEW booking.

According to a recent report shared by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Hardys, who have won tag team championship gold across a number of promotions, may be looking to turn heel as a team for the first time in AEW.

In the caption of a post published recently on Instagram promoting the Homecoming 2024 episode of Dynamite, Jeff Hardy alluded to him and his brother Matt being stuck in the dimension of Rampage. He added that they would not appear on Dynamite.

The Newsletter report claims that Hardy's post is likely to be part of a storyline leading to the duo's heel turn rather than legitimate grievances about their booking.

Even prior to Jeff's Instagram post, the Hardys had recently expressed some frustrations with their lack of utilization in AEW. The post, however, has since been deleted. Notably, the Hardys appeared extensively on Rampage and not Dynamite throughout 2023 and have not been involved in any consistent upper card programs recently.

The Hardys were last seen on the first Rampage of 2024, where they teamed up with Mark Briscoe to defeat the team of Kip Sabian and the Butcher and the Blade.

AEW manager confirms Jeff Hardy's "botch" was a planned move

A manager and AEW personality has verified that a recent slip-up on the part of Jeff Hardy was actually planned all along.

Jose the Assistant, recently took to X and confirmed that he had spoken to Jeff Hardy prior to the match on Rampage, where he and his brother Matt teamed with Mark Briscoe to face The Butcher and the Blade and Kip Sabian. Hardy supposedly shared with Jose that he was going to execute the "slip spot."

The alleged botch saw Jeff lose his footing while trying to launch himself off of Matt Hardy's back to hit a corner splash. Fans reacted poorly to the spot, calling for Hardy to retire. The Assistant, on the contrary, praised the Charismatic Enigma as a magician capable of making the audience believe that he had misdelivered the move instead.

Wrestling fans all over the world are excited to see what is next for the Hardys, especially since Jeff's now-deleted post alluding to the Hardys being stuck on Rampage, which has been claimed as proof of their unhappiness with Tony Khan's recent booking of the legendary tag team.
