Biggest update yet on Adam Cole's AEW future - Reports
There is a big update on Adam Cole, according to the latest reports, and if it is true, fans can start rejoicing. This will no doubt give a lot of hope to the All Elite faithful.
Cole is one of the more acclaimed wrestlers on the AEW roster, but constant injuries have meant that he has not yet been able to show his full potential ever since signing with the company. He got injured in September last year, and that has put him on the shelf.
But now, according to Fightful Select, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The report states that Cole was present backstage at the recent episode of Dynamite on August 14th. That is telling, given that he was taken off the road as it was slowing down his progression.
The other positive thing about the report is that it states that Cole is set to start training and is hopeful to make a return as soon as next week.
Tony Khan can't wait for Adam Cole’s return
AEW president Tony Khan is seemingly a big fan of Adam Cole and has said that he cannot wait till the former WWE star makes a comeback.
TK said this when he was speaking with Wrestling Observer Radio, but he noted that he does not know the timeframe yet.
"I can't wait until Adam Cole can come back," Khan said. "I can't give you the exact time table, but he will be back. And I'm looking forward to it. It'll be great to have Adam back in the ring. He is recovering, and I can't wait to have him back."
Going by his comments, it seems like the AEW President has a plan in mind for Cole. The fans can start counting the days now that his return is very near.
