Britt Baker reportedly set for a major appearance in a new role outside AEW
Recent reports have just revealed that Britt Baker is set to be part of a major project outside of AEW. She is set to make her appearance within the year. This would be a role in the latest season of Netflix's Cobra Kai.
The series is a sequel to the iconic movie franchise in the 1980s, The Karate Kid, starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka. The actors reprised their roles and are focused on teaching another generation of Karate students. Five seasons are fully completed, with the first half of Season Six being added a few weeks ago.
According to a report from PWInsider Elite, Britt Baker is set to appear in the second half of Cobra Kai Season 6. The show is currently set to feature an international karate tournament called Sekai Takai. She is said to be a European fighter from one of the teams participating in the tournament. There has yet to be any information regarding which episode she'll appear in.
The report also mentioned that Baker's return to AEW was delayed due to the filming of the episodes for the upcoming season.
Britt Baker is expected to be back from suspension for this week's episode of AEW Dynamite
Last week on Dynamite, Mercedes Moné revealed that she had Britt Baker suspended for trying to attack her during the AEW's panel at San Diego Comic-Con. While she was indeed suspended, this was the kayfabe reason.
Reports revealed that Baker was suspended for getting into heated arguments with MJF and his fiancee Alicia Atout over some comments made about Friedman's match with Will Ospreay.
PWInsider reported earlier today that Moné is using the suspension as part of the storyline to get heat from the crowd. Baker is expected to be around for this week's edition of Dynamite, as she may confront The CEO regarding her kayfabe suspension.
Fans will have to stay tuned tomorrow night for the potential next confrontation between Britt Baker and Mercedes Moné ahead of their scheduled match in a few weeks at All In.
