Daniel Garcia has made his decision - Reports

Daniel Garcia's AEW contract is set to expire soon. According to a new report, he has seemingly decided whether he wants to stay in All Elite Wrestling or potentially leave for the Triple H-led WWE.

Garcia unsuccessfully challenged Will Opsreay for the AEW International Championship on Dynamite: Beach Break a few weeks ago. Following his loss, he was shockingly attacked by MJF.

On the Wrestling Observer Radio, a couple of days ago, Bryan Alvarez revealed that AEW planned the segment to write Red Death off TV. The reason was that All Elite Wrestling was not certain whether Garcia would re-sign with the company.

"Well, what I know is that when they did that angle they were aware that he may not be back. So the angle was done in case he doesn't come back. And if he does come back then they've got a storyline feud with MJF."

On the August 1 edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Alvarez reported that people in AEW believed Daniel Garcia would remain with the promotion.

"I can tell you this. Nothing is official, but people there do believe that [Daniel] Garcia is most likely re-signing," Alvarez said. [53:47 onwards]

Matt Menard comments on MJF's attack on Daniel Garcia

On a recent edition of Close Up with Renee Paquette, Matt Menard commented on MJF brutally attacking Daniel Garcia following the latter's match with Will Ospreay on Dynamite: Beach Break.

Menard said the assault led to the former ROH Pure Champion losing strength on the left side of his body. The ex-Jericho Appreciation Society member added that he and his friends didn't know when Garcia would be back in action.

Following the attack on Dynamite, it was revealed that the 25-year-old star was dealing with cervical injuries. But this might be a work, as the angle was reportedly planned to write him off TV.
