Big update on AEW All In 2024's ticket sales; possibility of breaking WrestleMania 40's record - Reports
AEW's next big pay-per-view is All In set to take place in August. However, recent reports have provided underwhelming news about the show's ticket sales and the possibility of it breaking the record of WrestleMania 40.
The All In PPV changed the landscape of professional wrestling in 2018 and has become one of the top pay-per-views of Tony Khan's promotion in recent years. The show took place from Wembley Stadium in London last year and broke several records making it one of the highest-attended shows for AEW. The show is set to return to the Wembley Stadium in August, however, there is a disappointing update about the ticket sales of this year's event.
According to a recent report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current ticket sales have not moved from 40,964 despite the company announcing some major matches for the show in advance. Furthermore, AEW could break the remarkable WrestleMania XL's numbers if they manage to get 58,000 or more which will make All In the largest paying crowd for any wrestling show of the year.
"As noted last week, there were those in AEW claiming more than 45,000 paid. But the 40,000 mark on WrestleTix has been holding and not gaining since a week after tickets were put on sale. It’s already the fourth-largest crowd for pro wrestling ever in the U.K., and needs to hit 53,999 to reach third. A 58,000 paid number would make it the largest paid crowd for any show this year, beating WrestleMania and Royal Rumble. Cleveland Browns Stadium for a real sellout could hit 62,000 total and paid would be a little under 60,000 so it moves strongly it could hit Mania numbers. Wembley could break both but the lack of real ticket movement in months seems to lower the odds." -WON
Kyle O'Reilly wants to wrestle Will Ospreay at AEW All In
The former NXT star and Will Ospreay briefly competed against each other in a Gauntlet match at AEW Dynamite a couple of months ago. Speaking on Conversations with the Wrestling Classics, Kyle O'Reilly discussed the possibility of wrestling Will Ospreay at All In.
The 37-year-old said that he has great chemistry with Ospreay and would love to wrestle him in his hometown at All In 2024.
"I mean, considering it's Wembley, and it would potentially be home turf for him, how could I not say Will Ospreay. So recently on Dynamite, we wrestled for the first time ever. We'd never touched and I thought we had good chemistry. So yeah, if I'm, if I'm booking, fantasy booking, I'd love to wrestle Will," Kyle said. [H/T - Fightful]
Will Ospreay recently lost his International Championship to MJF. It will be interesting to see if the company books him in a match against Kyle O'Reilly at All In.
