Disappointing update on AEW's negotiations with WBD amid rumors of uncertain future - Reports

A recent report has shed light on the negotiations between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) to extend the former's broadcasting deal with the leading network. As per the new rumors, the negotiation window between the two parties has now expired.

Over the last few months, many have cast doubt over All Elite Wrestling's status with WBD, as the company's ratings haven't seen an upswing trend of late. However, the Tony Khan-led promotion has consistently remained one of the most-watched products on TV and has generated great numbers in key demos.

Fightful Select has now shared some key details about the ongoing talks between AEW and WBD. It was noted that while the negotiation window between the two had ended, it wasn't clear if they had come to an agreement to extend the deal yet.

Furthermore, it was reported that Tony Khan and WBD CEO David Zaslav were scheduled to have a high-level meeting at the ongoing Paris Olympics. Moreover, according to the report, AEW possibly being available on Max for streaming was also a major point of discussion as part of the negotiations.

It remains to be seen how things pan out for the Jacksonville-based promotion as the company gears up for All In 2024, which will take place at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on August 25.
