Disturbing rumor on Adam Copeland (fka Edge) after AEW DON spot had stars at WWE RAW worried - Reports

AEW star Adam Copeland was reportedly injured after his match at Double or Nothing. It was also reported that the injury caused a scare among superstars at Monday Night RAW.

The WWE Hall of Famer went to war with Malakai Black in a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the TNT Championship at AEW Double or Nothing and emerged victorious. During the match, Copeland jumped onto Malakai Black who was placed on a table wrapped in barbed wire. After the spot, The Rated R Superstar seemed to have hurt his knees and limped throughout the match.

According to a recent report by PWInsider, Adam Copeland's current status is unknown. It was also noted that within the AEW circles, it was believed that Copeland might have injured his knee.

"There was a rumor being bounced around among WWE talent at RAW yesterday that [Adam] Copeland broke his leg in the spot coming off the top of the barbed wire steel cage vs. Malakai Black, but we have been unable to confirm that is actually the case. Within AEW circles, there was concern that he had instead suffered a knee injury, but there's been no word behind the scenes as to any sort of official diagnosis,'' the report stated.

AEW CEO Tony Khan addressed Adam Copeland at the Double or Nothing press conference

AEW Double or Nothing saw some of the most brutal spots happen on a pay-per-view event. Adam Copeland and Malakai Black delivered a bloody Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the TNT Champion, which left fans wondering about the well-being of both stars.

Speaking at the post-Double or Nothing media scrum, President Tony Khan confirmed that Adam Copeland was beaten up after the match and hoped that the veteran would recover soon.

"We are checking him [Adam Copeland] out; that was an amazing Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. I am knocking on all the wood and crossing my fingers that he is okay. I was hoping he would be sitting with Tanahashi-san and me right now; he is really beat up! I hope he’s okay, and it was a hard-hitting Barbed Wire Cage Match,” Tony Khan said. [H/T: Ringsidenews]

The status of The Rated R Supertar's injury is currently unknown. It will be interesting to see if the veteran is forced to relinquish his AEW TNT Title in the coming week.
