Former AEW World Champion reportedly expected to take time off
A former AEW World Champion is reportedly expected to take time off from the ring. The star is one of the biggest assets in AEW.
The star in question is none other than MJF. The former World Champion was part of a bloodbath against Daniel Garcia at AEW All Out and eventually won the match. It looked like this rivalry would be put to bed once he extended his hand of friendship at the end of the match. Daniel Garcia, however, was ready for any ruse from MJF and he was attentive as he brushed aside an attempted low blow to hit a low blow himself. Garcia then hit a piledriver off the middle rope to the former AEW World Champion.
Now, Ibou of WrestlePurists is reporting that the original finish for the bout was for Garcia to go over clean. However, due to his uncertain future with AEW and an impending contract expiry, the finish was changed. Also, MJF was taken off TV because he is seemingly set to go and film a movie.

This was one way to write him off television and put him on the shelf for storyline purposes. It remains to be seen when Garcia will return and whether he will resume his feud with MJF.
