Huge update on absent AEW star ahead of Double or Nothing 2024 - Reports

AEW star Hangman Adam Page is one of the most notable names currently missing from television. However, recent reports may have revealed his potential return to the company.

Hangman Page's last appearance on All Elite Wrestling television was at the Revolution PPV in March, where he competed in a Triple Threat Match for the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland. Hangman ended up taking the final blow of the match as Joe choked him out to retain his World Title. Many believed that Page was off TV due to an injury, but recent reports tell us a different story.

Speaking on the Fightful Select's Q&A session, Sean Ross Sapp revealed that the former AEW World Champion is not injured. He further explained that the company is currently waiting for the right time to bring him back to TV.

"Well, he’s not injured or anything. It’s a matter of deciding whenever he’s coming back. It could really be whenever, the best I know.” [H/T: RingsideNews]

Al Snow calls Hangman Adam Page stupid for CM Punk drama in AEW

Hangman Adam Page and CM Punk were in a rivalry for the AEW World Championship in late 2022. However, during the feud, the backstage issues between the two led to the infamous Brawl Out incident after the All Out 2022 PPV, where CM Punk and Ace Steel had a physical altercation with The Elite.

Speaking to Vince Russo on the Lions, Tiger, Bears, & Head podcast, Al Snow called Hangman stupid for not taking advantage of the rivalry with Punk, as he was the biggest star in the company at the time.

"He had an opportunity to [verbally] sucker-punch Punk, and that's what he did. [laughs] People can defend Page and say what they want, I'm not demonizing him. The kid was stupid, it was dumb, he shouldn't have done it. Here you have an opportunity to work with one of the guys that's at the top in your company... well, take advantage of it, and use it to elevate yourself, but instead you used it to... you know, as a platform to now air your grievances," Al Snow said.

CM Punk was fired from the promotion last year after he got into another backstage incident in All Elite Wrestling during the All-In PPV. Punk has returned to the WWE since then and made his in-ring return during the Men's Royal Rumble match in January.
