Huge update on Adam Cole's in-ring status after shocking return at AEW WrestleDream - Reports
A huge update regarding Adam Cole's in-ring return has come to light following his AEW return. Cole has been out of action for more than a year due to injury.
At the 2024 AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, Adam Cole made his surprise return and confronted Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Cole seemingly showed up as a babyface and forced MJF to retreat. Fans in Tacoma, Washington, showered Cole with loud cheers upon his arrival.
Following Cole's appearance at WrestleDream, fans have been wondering when he will make his in-ring return. He suffered a foot injury at Grand Slam 2023 and his last match came at All Out.
According to a recent report from Fightful Select, Cole is now officially cleared to make his in-ring return. If the report is to be believed, fans can expect The Panama City Playboy to compete inside the squared circle sooner rather than later.
Adam Cole got a message from MJF upon his return
Adam Cole has been involved in a storyline with Maxwell Jacob Friedman since last year. At Worlds End 2023, it was revealed that Cole was the mysterious Devil, who had been targeting The Wolf of Wrestling alongside his henchmen.
After Cole set his sights on MJF at WrestleDream 2024, the latter sent him a message. On X/Twitter, the former AEW World Champion claimed that The Panama City Playboy committed a huge mistake by coming after him.
"You’ve made a big mistake," MJF wrote.
In another post on X/Twitter, MJF called out fans for supporting Cole upon his return at WrestleDream. Only time will tell what's next in the storied feud between the former tag team partners. Will they lock horns inside the ring at AEW's next pay-per-view? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
