Huge update on Adam Copeland's (fka Edge) AEW return - Reports
Adam Copeland (fka Edge) hasn't been seen on AEW programming for months. However, a recent report has possibly shed light on The Rated-R Superstar's return date.
Copeland faced Malakai Black in a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage match at Double or Nothing 2024. The then-TNT Champion jumped from the top of the cage at one point in the bout and fractured his tibia. He underwent surgery shortly after the injury and has focused on non-AEW projects amid his hiatus.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Adam Copeland's return to All Elite Wrestling is imminent. He was cleared for training a few weeks back, but most people in the promotion expect the WWE Hall of Famer to make his comeback by the January 1, 2025 edition of Dynamite in Asheville, his hometown area.
This week's AEW Dynamite saw FTR break their silence after Death Riders' attack on the duo. Dax Harwood revealed that the two stars won't be cleared for action in 2024, but they will be present on the Wednesday night show on January 1.
Harwood put Jon Moxley and Co. on notice before saying that FTR will be having a mystery partner by their side, leading to speculation about this person being Adam Copeland. It remains to be seen how Tony Khan books The Rated-R Superstar upon his much-anticipated return.
