Keith Lee's unfortunate status in AEW disclosed [Reports]

Former WWE NXT Champion Keith Lee's status with AEW has come to the fore in the latest reports. He has been out of action for nearly a year now.

Keith Lee gained prominence during his time with WWE from 2018 to 2021. The 40-year-old star signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2022 and has been an AEW Tag Team Champion alongside Swerve Strickland. However, Lee's All Elite run has been ridden with injuries and is currently absent from TV as well.

The Limitless One was last seen in action on an episode of Collision in December 2023 where he defeated Brian Cage. Fans have been anticipating Keith's return to the ring for nearly a year now. Meanwhile, there is an update on the status of the former WWE NXT Champion. During a Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select provided an update.

A fan asked Sapp whether he believed that Keith Lee would ever wrestle again. Sean Ross Sapp answered that he does believe that Lee would wrestle again and also provided an unfortunate update on his status disclosing that Keith is not cleared to compete and hasn't been cleared for the past year.

Keith Lee seemingly dropped a tease regarding his potential return

Although Keith Lee has been with AEW since 2022, he has had an underwhelming singles run.

Nevertheless, Lee seems to be hopeful for the upcoming year as he recently sent a heartfelt message on X/Twitter talking about making the most of the year 2025.

"One way or another.... 2025 will be one for the books. Let us all go out of our way to ensure this for ourselves yeah? Go forth. May the force be with you," Lee wrote.

The Limitless One's potential return time remains uncertain as of now, and only time will tell if he will return to the squared circle in 2025.
