Major update on Adam Cole's AEW status following months of absence - Reports
AEW star Adam Cole has been out of action for almost a year and recent reports have unveiled his current status. The Undisputed Kingdom leader signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2021.
The former NXT Champion injured his ankle at last year's AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. Adam Cole suffered the injury while making his way to the ring to support MJF during his World Title match against Samoa Joe. Despite his injury, Cole continued to make appearances for All Elite Wrestling. He was also revealed as The Devil and turned heel on MJF at last year's World's End PPV.
Adam Cole's most recent appearance was at Double or Nothing in May where he was taken out by a returning MJF. In the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was revealed that The Panama Playboy was backstage at All Out in Chicago and seemingly has recovered from his foot injury. However, his in-ring return date is still uncertain.

Dutch Mantell thinks AEW stars Adam Cole and Britt Baker have separated
Adam Cole recently announced that he was moving to Pennsylvania alone from Florida which led to many questioning the current standing of his relationship with Britt Baker. In a recent edition of Storytime with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager stated that Britt Baker and Adam Cole might have separated which is seemingly the reason behind Cole moving.
“We said he is moving by himself back to Pennsylvania... He is from there, right? Usually, people move back home, and there is nothing to hold him here in Florida, so he is gonna go back home. I would say that they are separated, broken up,” he said.
Adam Cole could return to AEW later this year and it will be interesting to see how his storyline with MJF gets booked as both stars are currently heels.
