Major update on Darby Allin's health after AEW Double or Nothing - Reports
Former TNT champion Darby Allin apparently wrestled at AEW Double or Nothing with an injury. There is now a report that provides fans with a big update after the injury scare.
Darby Allin represented Team AEW alongside Bryan Danielson and FTR in the Anarchy in the Arena Match against The Elite. Darby took a lot of punishment during the match and was even hanged upside down in the middle of the ring by The Young Bucks. Fans were concerned for Allin's health after the match, as he went into it with injuries.
On the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reflected on Darby's injuries heading into Double or Nothing. Alvarez also noted that Darby had an MRI after the bout and his nose had not been broken again. He did note, though, that Darby's foot might still be hurting after the match:
“Darby, his nose was messed up during the match. They were worried that it might be broken again but, apparently, he had an MRI and it’s alright. So that’s also good news. But was looking, you know, last night, his foot, I don’t think it’s any worse than it was going in. I mean, I don’t know what you saw on television, but you know, they, they hit his music. Initially, he started sprinting out from backstage. And then I think they realized ‘Whoa,’ and he starts limping bad. He was limping. I’m sure his foot is still hurting." [H/T Ringside News]
Darby Allin is fine even after a painful spot during Anarchy in the Arena
Towards the end of the Anarchy in the Arena Match at Double or Nothing, Darby Allin was hanged upside down by his ankles. While it looked excruciatingly painful, Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio noted that Darby got a clean bill of health afterward.
"But the thing was, you know, I think that you know when you hang somebody upside down, that can actually be super dangerous because all the blood starts rushing to your head. And you don’t want to be upside down for a long time. And here’s a guy with a busted up nose, with a broken nose upside down hanging, and it was probably excruciatingly painful, but apparently he got the clean bill today. So that’s good,” he said.
Only time will tell when Darby will be seen in action again and what Tony Khan has planned for one of AEW's four pillars.
