Major update on Jon Moxley's health after AEW Worlds End 2024 - Reports
The historic fourth AEW World Championship reign of Jon Moxley is headed for the third month. The Death Riders' leader retained in a grueling main event at Worlds End, and new rumors indicate a potential massive rivalry in the works. Sources are also revealing a backstage update on Moxley coming out of the pay-per-view.
The Purveyor of Violence wrapped All Elite Wrestling's final event of 2024 with a successful title defense over Orange Cassidy, Adam Page, and Jay White. The near-16-minute bout ended with Moxley pinning Switchblade, thanks to interference by other members of The Death Riders. The post-match angle saw Adam Copeland make his surprise return with FTR to take out Moxley and his crew.
There was some concern over Moxley and his challengers coming out of the non-stop grueling four-way, but everyone seems to be doing good. Moxley bled during the match but in response to the concern, the Wrestling Observer reports that the World Champion was said to be OK after Worlds End.
Moxley vs. Copeland for the AEW World Championship is rumored for early 2025. The erstwhile Dean Ambrose will return to the ring on Wednesday's Fight for The Fallen edition of Dynamite, teaming with Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli to face Copeland and FTR in trios action.
