He last wrestled against the former AEW star, Ethan Page on an episode of Collision in December 2023. Omega appeared on an episode of Dynamite in May where he got destroyed by The new Elite and was sent to the hospital again.

It was recently reported that Omega's career is not yet over as the feeling is he will return at some point. Meanwhile, there is another huge update on the status of Omega's potential in-ring return. During the Fightful Select's Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Kenny's in-ring return status. Sapp reported the following:

”Heard he would need to get in shape, get into ring shape and then get ready for a return. Then at the time of the scope, his return wasn’t interment.” (H/T Ringside News)

Top AEW star on not getting the opportunity to wrestle Kenny Omega more

Top AEW star, Bryan Danielson wrestled Kenny Omega in his first AEW match in 2021 and it ended in an instant classic time-limit draw. In an interview with Sports Illustrated recently, Danielson expressed his disappointment of not facing Omega again, also praising Hangman Page:

"Me and Kenny, unfortunately, we’ve only had the one match. When I came to AEW, I envisioned having these series of matches with Kenny. Instead, it’s been Hangman, and I’ve learned firsthand how incredible he is. Hangman’s the man. That dude’s awesome."

Henceforth, only time will tell when Omega will be fit for an in-ring return and whether fans will witness a rematch between him and Danielson.
