Major update on Ricky Starks' future amid uncertain AEW status - Reports

A recent report provided an update on the former AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks amid his absence and uncertain status. The report also revealed the current relationship between Starks and Tony Khan's promotion.

Ricky Starks has not been on AEW TV since an episode of Collision in March earlier this year. While he was away, his tag team partnership with Big Bill also ended. There has been a lot of controversy amid Starks' absence. He is rumored to join WWE after his contract expires, but his contract status remains obscure.

Ricky has been appearing on multiple indie wrestling shows but was pulled from a recent GCW show due to some controversy. Meanwhile, the latest report by Fightful Select shed some light on the relationship between Starks and the AEW management. It was reported that Ricky had to ask for approval for his first GCW show.

Furthermore, The Absolute reportedly didn't have approval for the recent Chris Van Vliet interview, so the company was not ok with the interview despite him not saying anything bad. Moreover, Starks is allowed to work on the indies except GCW for now after being pulled from a recent show.

AEW star asked Ricky Starks to leave his company

AEW star Max Caster of The Acclaimed is known for his controversial tweets and raps these days. He also faces a lot of backlash for his comments regarding various topics. Recently, Ricky Starks shared one of his pictures on X/Twitter with the message, "Keep it up."

Caster reacted to the post and told Starks to leave his company amid all the ongoing contract rumors. Ricky is still yet to respond to Caster after his statement.

"Just leave my company already," Caster wrote.

Even if Starks wants to leave AEW, he would have to wait for his current contract to expire. Only time will tell what the future has in store for The Absolute.
