Major update on WWE potentially buying out Miro's AEW contract - Reports
Miro has been absent from AEW TV for several months. With reports of The Redeemer asking for his release, new details have come to light regarding whether WWE will buy out his contract.
Miro kicked off his AEW career in top form. He dominated the entire roster and even won the TNT Championship. The company was so impressed with his performance that they extended his contract in 2022. However, it has been all downhill for The Redeemer from there.
The Bulgarian Brute has barely wrestled any matches in the past year. In fact, his last televised match came at AEW World's End last year against Andrade El Idolo. Since then, he has been absent from TV. Recently, reports surfaced that The Redeemer had requested his release from Tony Khan's promotion.
While there is no confirmation on if his request will be granted, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked if there was a possibility that WWE would buy out his contract. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful denied the possibility of that ever happening.

"99.9 percent would not happen."
Miro revealed what he loves about AEW
Miro's absence from AEW TV has raised a lot of eyebrows given his ability to get over with the crowd. Despite his poor booking, The Redeemer had positive things to say about his current employer.
During a recent exclusive intervie with Bill Apter, The Redeemer stated that he loves the different styles of wrestling that AEW has to offer which allows everyone to fight the way they want.
“I love the freedom of styles that we have, right. We have people from Mexico, from Japan, from Bulgaria, from England . You just come in and bring your style and fight the way you want to which I really [want]. What brought me to this company at the first place is that freedom that you get.”
