Massive rumor killer about AEW star Britt Baker - Reports
Britt Baker is a pioneer in AEW's women's division. Hence, rumors are usually circulating about her.
Britt Baker is considered one of the pillars of AEW. She was the first woman to be signed to the promotion in 2019. However, she has had a controversial run in the company. Recently, Baker missed the October 8 edition of Dynamite due to strep throat which had fans worried. She later confirmed that she was feeling much better.
During a recent Fightful Select Q&A podcast. Sean Ross Sapp said that the backstage reaction to her absence from Dynamite indicated that some people felt she didn't show up because she didn't want to lose. However, this rumor was squashed by Sean Ross Sapp who said that he never heard of any such instance. In fact, Baker had lost matches in the past, proving that she could handle being pinned:
“A lot of people were dropping the “Oh, that’s not going to work for me sister” type of line like she didn’t show up because she didn’t want to lose. I never heard of it being an issue with Britt Baker losing matches. In fact, I’ve been told in points throughout her career, she lost to kind of prove a point. That she could take those pins.” [H/T Ringside News]
