Massive update on The Hurt Business potentially reuniting in AEW - Reports
The Hurt Business is no more, but The Hurt Syndicate could soon show their faces on television. A new report has shed light on the potential dealings of Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin outside WWE.
The group recently filed a trademark for 'The Hurt Syndicate,' indicating that the three plan on teaming up once again outside the confines of the Stamford-based promotion. There's been speculation about the faction potentially signing with AEW, but neither Tony Khan nor the former WWE Superstars have spoken about any dealings.
According to Fightful Select, AEW has spoken with the three in the last few weeks. Fightful's report notes that Lashley, MVP, and Benjamin have discussed carrying on together, although former Hurt Business member Cedric Alexander is still signed with WWE. However, there has been no word on whether the group has reached a deal with All Elite Wrestling or if any headway has been made in negotiations.
Former Hurt Business member Bobby Lashley says he's just getting started
Bobby Lashley's WWE contract expired in August, and he's officially a free agent. Despite the 48-year-old having wrestled for almost 20 years, it seems that he's still got plenty of gas left in the tank.
Amid speculation regarding the reformation of The Hurt Business outside the Stamford-based promotion, the former WWE Champion took to Instagram to share a video with his fans. Lashley claimed that every day is a new opportunity, and he's just getting started:
"Every day is a new opportunity to push the limits and show the world what you are made of. I’ve got so much fight left in me, and I’m just getting started. Stay tuned! #BuiltDifferent," Bobby Lashley wrote.
Factions thrive in AEW, so it's likely that The Hurt Syndicate could find a place on the roster. Whether Lashley, MVP, and Benjamin ultimately sign with AEW remains to be seen.
