Original plans for Bobby Lashley upon his AEW debut disclosed - Reports
Bobby Lashley has seemingly joined Tony Khan's AEW. A new report recently disclosed the original plans for his debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
WWE released The All Mighty earlier this year. Former Hurt Business members Shelton Benjamin and MVP have already joined Tony Khan's All Elite roster. The WWE US Champion made his debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2024. The Gold Standard followed him a few weeks later and made his debut on the fifth-anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite. The former WWE Superstars are reportedly set to start a new stable called "The Hurt Syndicate" in AEW following Lashley's official arrival.
That said, a curious wrestling fan on X (FKA Twitter) recently asked Ibou of WrestlePurists about the possibility of Bobby Lashley making his debut this weekend at WrestleDream PPV on October 12, 2024.
In the response tweet, the pro wrestling journalist revealed the former two-time WWE Champion was "originally scheduled" for the show.
"100%. He was originally scheduled to wrestle on the show," Ibou responded to the fan.
Booker T doesn't think Bobby Lashley and Co. will dominate the AEW locker room
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was the latest to comment on Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin becoming All Elite. He was happy that Tony Khan signed the former WWE Superstars as they are all very talented. But he also added that he believes that their new faction might not be able to dominate the company's roster. Booker T believes the AEW locker room will have a lot of ego clashes if it happens.
"I don't see that happening in AEW. I just don't. I don't see AEW having a team that's going to just run rough shots like the NWO. Just because it's a lot of egos in that company," he said on his Hall of Fame podcast.
He also gave an example to corroborate his statement where he pointed out that The Young Bucks would never put The Hurt Syndicate over them.
