Possible reason why Samoa Joe was written off AEW TV ahead of All In - Reports
Samoa Joe has been written off TV after his match with Chris Jericho on this week's Dynamite. Since debuting in the company, The Samoan Submission Machine has been a great asset to the promotion. He also held the AEW World Championship for 113 days.
After HOOK lost his FTW Championship to Chris Jericho, Joe took the young star under his wings along with Katsuyori Shibata and formed a team. This group and Jericho Vortex finally confronted each other ahead of AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door. Shockingly, the former FTW Champion scored a victory over Jericho at the pay-per-view.
Last week, Samoa Joe challenged The Learning Tree to a Stampede Street Fight on Dynamite. The unhinged duo hit each other with every weapon available during the match tonight. After taking the bout backstage, Big Bill and Bryan Keith helped the FTW Champion to put his opponent on the forklift.
Shockingly, Chris Jericho put Samoa Joe and the forklift through the wall, while the officials ended the match by declaring Jericho as the winner. Samoa was ridden through an ambulance later, writing him off ahead of AEW's biggest event, All In.
As per PWInsider, the former AEW World Champion was written off, seemingly because of the filming of Twisted Metal's Season 2. The filming will start later in July and not end until October 2024. He was also part of the series for the first season and acted as 'Sweet Tooth.'
It remains to be seen if he can take part in All In pay-per-view, as his return date isn't known.
