Potential spoiler on the identity of mystery wrestler AEW recently teased - ReportsĀ
The identity of the masked man whose potential debut was teased a few days ago on AEW Collision was reportedly revealed earlier today by various sources. This would be the luchador Aramis.
A few days ago on Collision, a video teaser was shown of a certain "Hologram." This then showed a man running straight into a portal before transforming into his gear, showing him in a luchador mask. This got the internet going, as many stars have been speculating on his identity.
Bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes has just reported that this would be Aramis, an up-and-coming luchador. It was also claimed that he would be coming in on a clean slate. He will debut with not only a new gimmick but also a new in-ring name.
This comes amid speculation that Ricochet, whose All Elite Wrestling debut has been highly anticipated for some time, could have been the mystery star.
Former WWE Superstar reportedly going to AEW
Ricochet's potential AEW debut has been discussed for some time now, starting from when he revealed that he was departing the Stamford-based promotion.
He officially became a free agent almost two weeks ago and, according to Fightful Select, both WWE and AEW believe that he could be on the way to the latter. It was also reported that plans for him to face Will Ospreay at All In, as many have wanted, are not in the works just yet.
Last week's tease at the mystery man making a debut prompted discussions among fans about this being Ricochet, seeing as they had similar physical structure and that the former NXT Superstar had a brief stint as a masked man while competing at Lucha Underground as Prince Puma.
Now that the masked man's identity has seeminglt been revealed to be someone else, there is still heavy anticipation on how the company will plan out the debut of the former United States Champion.
